Marcus Kaiser studied Photography and Film at the University of applied Science in Bielefeld and then received a postgraduate degree in Media Arts at the University of Art and Design in Karlsruhe.
He has taken part at numerous international exhibitions, among others „Young European Photographers“ at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin, „ Here a Change Occurs“ at the Zacheta National Gallery in Warsaw and „40 Years of Video art in Germany“ at the „Center for Art and Science, in Karlsruhe. Marcus Kaisers works and projects are represented in several international collections including the “Staatsgalerie Stuttgart”, the „Stadtmuseum Berlin“, the “ZKM Karlsruhe” the „New Mexico Museum“ in Santa Fee and the „Centre for Contemporary Art“ in Warschau.
Marcus Kaiser lectured Fine Arts, Photography and New Media at the „Caspar-David-Friedrich-Institut” at the Greifswald University and was a lecturer at the Faculty of Design in Dessau and the University oft he Arts in Dresden. Since 2012 he teaches Photography at the Faculty of Design in Würzburg. Catalogues (selection):
